One World in a New World with Otto Gatternigg – Founder, Foundation for Humanity
Curiosity leads us to new knowledge. For Otto, professionally, it took him from Vienna an banking to woodworking and interior design, to Cambodia and creating a non-profit.
Otto was a highly sensitive child, remembering being able to perceive the authenticity/energy of people he met with his parents during their walks on the streets in Austria. He says his grandmother was instrumental in helping him learn how to use his sensitivity.
He shares that this gift isn’t really welcome in most places and with most people. Would you agree? Perhaps listening in to the conversation would be helpful. He reflects that when you are young, you take rejection personally, though it really isn’t about you.
Otto’s reflections are priceless for personal growth and understanding. His commitment to his inner voice and direction shines in reflecting on navigating life’s offerings.
How have you come out of the pandemic? What difference have you noticed in the way you navigate life? Zen outlines a shift in ages and the possible experience available. What kind of effect might this epochal shift have in our experience? What’s available to view?
Otto frames it as ‘moving toward the light’ as human beings. The pandemic was a wake up call for humanity to examine its condition and adjust accordingly toward greater harmony. Life, in his opinion, is presenting us with the opportunity to shift our activity collectively, looking for new solutions.
Otto testifies that the ‘inner child’ is always present, some just forget. The inner child is connected, tuned in to the essence of life. He recommends starting each day as a new day, with the ability to experience it fully, fearlessly.
Are you aware of how you think? Are you curious and open? Can you suspend your belief system in the face of something outside your normal experience or even the unknown? How is your life now compared to a few years ago?
The conversation offers opportunities to be curious, to reflect and to peer into the depths of what might be keeping you from coming forth in all your magnificence. Listen in for ways to explore and understand new ways of being, of thinking and of doing…
How do we learn to get along and work together better? Listen in to that exploration. You can make a difference, too, just by listening to this apocalyptic chat.
