Ep 51 One World in a New World with Brenden Kumarasamy – Public Speaking Coach, Founder – MasterTalk

One World in a New World with Brenden Kumarasamy – Public Speaking Coach, Founder – MasterTalk

Early on, Brenden says he competed in sports for nerds… doing presentations competitively. When asked about his early inklings toward life, he shares that all he wanted to help his mother retire.

Acquiring what he says was his dream job after graduation and finding success, he started asking the deeper questions about life. He references Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and self-actualization, which led to the deeper questions about meaning and purpose.

He shares a quote by Scott Harrison, founder of Charity Water, ‘The goal is not to live forever, rather to create something that will.’

As he explored, he found a key component of the process to be, ‘How do we ask tougher questions?’ Questions that we don’t usually ask or get asked. He later found one of the key questions that got people to open up was, ”What are you most passionate about right now?’

What kinds of questions do we ask? What are the three to five questions we wish others would ask of us that they do not? Those questions are different for everyone, no doubt. You are essentially using those questions to filter the people we actually want to spend more time with than others.

Our conversation leads to many more places you will find insightful and interesting if you are inclined to want to grow your network and relationships in healthy ways.

How do you see or hope to see the process of growing in awareness and understanding trickling out into those you know? What are the easiest problems that we all can agree on? The buy-in would escalate, he feels. Then the more difficult ones could be addressed more effectively.

Please do view or listen to the exchange of information and wisdom from our conversation and see where it might fit into your own life, profession and relationships. Ignite your desire for what you are most passionate about in life right now.

What are your simplest problems to address? What do you think are the simplest problems in the world to address? Leave your comments below, please.
