One World – Apocalyptic Chats
I implore you to look up the original definition of the word – apocalypse. Just like Bloom states in his book, The Lucifer Principle, a few have used it to connote something opposite and pummeled the public with it for millennia to the point of it producing those catastrophic notions in the minds of millions, if not billions. The ability we have to think and the encouragement of critical thinking seems to be diminished on purpose. Why?
Okay, I’m not going to make you look it up, though I still urge you to just so you don’t take my word for it. Apocalypse: (Ancient Greek: ἀποκάλυψις apokálypsis, from of/from: ἀπό and cover: κάλυψις, literally meaning “from cover”) is a disclosure or revelation of great knowledge. Many do know the difference and recently I decided, with the help of my lovely wife, to explore conversations that matter in defining our future.
Decades Ago
It feels like I’m coming off a 30-year hiatus since first hosting One World beginning in 1990. One World television show aired on cable public access in the Phoenix, Arizona area from May of 1990 to August of 1992 with over 120 shows recorded, only a few of which are on YouTube. Many of the tapes did not fair well over the years. Beyond the initial interview, where Rodger Schnellenberger interviewed me on the vision of the show, the direction got much more practical in probing the local scene and people across many personal and professional arenas.
The show’s general line of questions for each guest was this:
*How do you get where you are at now; what prompted you to do what you are doing from both inner and outer perspectives?
*What fears did you encounter and, more importantly, how did you overcome them?
*How do you see that reflected in the common human experience around you now?
*How do you see that [transcending fears] reflected in the local communities, cities, states and nations of the world?
*Do you see the barriers to a global community coming down and, if so, can you cite evidence of it?
*What practical advice can you offer our audience for everyday living?
Discussions included the premise of harmony among people and planet, personal perspectives and hopeful outcomes for the types of guests and material to be covered. Within the first half-dozen shows, one of the crew started calling me, ‘Zen.’ I was using ‘Zendor’ as a subtitle, a kind of ‘door to what is’ inference. Zen stuck, evidently, and everyone else on the set followed suit.
One World in a New World
Now, 30 years later, as a coach, educator and facilitator I’m good at creating conversations and asking deeper questions to bring out patterns and processes we, as human beings, go through and yet rarely talk about to others. Each of us have a process we go through to arise from the ashes, in some cases, and proceed toward achieving dreams and goals in business and life.
In just a couple of months I have guest episodes scheduled through the next two months and already have had apocalyptic chats with the likes of Jim Britt (success coach who trained Tony Robbins), Fyodor Ovchinnikov (co-founder of the Institute for Evolutionary Leadership) Dr. Robert Gilman (founder of Context Institute), Dennis Pitocco (publisher) Dr. Erica Miller (holocaust survivor) and one my favorites, Swami Beyondananda (new age comedian). Each offers new perspectives and edifies ancient wisdom in new ways as they describe their journeys in life.
My passion for transformational life coaching also requires a constant upgrading of my own experience in order to best serve clients with relevant and simple ways to shift their view of self and engage a larger aspect of their being as part of the process. If you are reading this, please check out the new podcast and subscribe. You’ll find One World in a New World on YouTube for now, with more locations to come soon.
It appears to me that the ancient spiritual teachings, modern though leaders and quantum sciences are saying the same things just a little differently and the combination provides a solid foundation for experiencing what some call ‘living in Spirit’ as the experience of quantum entanglement in a new living awareness.
What Is In It For You?
I love Goethe’s quote, “Whatever you believe or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness had genius, power and magic in it.” Whether or not that is the correct translation or whether Goethe actually said or wrote it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you take the step forward toward your vision… NOW if possible. If you need help, I’m here.
